About
Wilderness Pictures.
Wilderness pictures is based in Åneby, a small village just outside Oslo, the capital city of Norway. The firm is owned and run by myself, Kai Jensen, nature photographer and writer. I am a member of the Society of Nature Photographers of Norway, a union for professional photographers living in Norway and of the BioFoto union, a non professional union for nature photographers. My reason for establishing the firm Wilderness Pictures was to enable me to pursue my twin passions of nature and nature photography. Wilderness Pictures sells its photographs through Scanpix, the largest picture bureau in Norway. You can find my photographs by visiting their website at www.scanpix.no and searching on my name, Kai Jensen. Most of my work is based on nature and outdoor life. In addition to writing illustrated articles for magazines in Norway, I sell my photographs for postcards and calenders. In 2005 I produced my own book about Nordmarka, a beautiful forest on the northern outskirts of Oslo. I also make digital slide shows with pictures from my tours, and have presented these at some of the largest photography festivals in Scandinavia'.
